Being Bored is a Blessing

I got this from one of the homeschooling lists that I am on and I thought that it was such a great response to the classic "I'm Bored" that not only kids but adults say...

How lucky for you, it means that you are ready for something new to
come into your life. Now is the time to relax, listen, and be aware
and open to your next adventure.

What a great way to bring thanks into a moment that is so often looked upon negatively! In all moments there is opportunity to find a way to be thankful.

Before 7pm

Both kids fell asleep before 7pm. And I am so thankful for that.

Left Out of the Conversation

I have blogged about my husband Keith a little before but yesterday he helped set up my website and an account on Café Press for Think Thankful and connect it up with my blog. Plus he went grocery shopping and made dinner! I am glad to say that I am one of those wives who has nothing to contribute to conversations on husband complaints. In this way, being left out of conversations is so wonderful!

Truth Be Told

Alright so I can procrastinate sometimes. I do think about what I am thankful for everyday but getting used to blogging it is not always the easiest. Can I give the excuse that soon I will have 3 children under 4 years old? I don't know if that really is valid but maybe some of you will think so ;)

Okay so what I am thankful for today - Well yesterday my son said for the first time "I love you too" He has said it to his sister and his father but never me, until yesterday. And yesterday was Thanksgiving too. So that was how my day started and that is pretty wonderful.

Yesterday was also great - and my sister can vouch for this - my wonderful mother who I never, ever heard swear before in my life (seriously), by accident said a swear yesterday. I will not go into details to spare my mother the embarassment but I will say that no one in the family will ever forget this Thanksgiving! I love you, Mom!
